hanging out with girls i haven’t seen in AGES was tons of fun. i wish they didn’t live so far away!

seuss and i are taking our friend and her dog to the vet tonight. she’s old, and has made her decision. that doesn’t make it any easier on the humans, unfortunately.
we’ll miss you, aussie.

in clark park on saturday night. love how her head looks like it’s about to be totally consumed.
i participated in this great event last year, and it was a lot of fun as well as a big success. please consider donating some artwork for them to auction off. the kitties need you!

there’s so much talk of pirates these days.

from a lovely day down on the delaware at penn’s landing. the ship is the USS Olympia.

little monkey, who seuss has been walking since she was 12 weeks old, is moving away to florida at the end of february. at the moment, she’s staying at our house (for the last time…*sob*!). we’re going to try to take a lot of photos today and tomorrow of her and us together with the rest of our pack. it feels like we are losing a family member

finally finished going through and culling photos from our wedding shoot. got a couple edited just for my own pleasure, and to give the couple a little preview. still need to give them digital proofs and decide which things are going in the album and whatnot. but i am pretty happy with what we got, and i think the couple is going to love them.

my weekend was a whirlwind of activity. friday i ran down to the kimmel center directly from work to meet up with the wedding clients at their rehearsal and check out the lay of the land for shooting on saturday. then i ran back to west philly to be at a shoot at the philadelphia cathedral by 7:15. it was a lovely hymn program with a brass quartet and the cathedral singers. the sound in that place is incredible, and it’s a really beautiful space as well. then all day saturday was occupied with getting ready for, and then actually shooting, the wedding. we were so glad it didn’t rain, and i think that having overcast sky was more helpful than hindering. i think the shadows might have been too harsh up in the kimmel center garden if the sun was out. and we were able to go out on broad street and take pictures on the median, as well. we alsp came across a guy with a small scruffy yorkie who we borrowed for a couple of minutes to pretend to be Toto (the bride is way into the wizard of oz, and was wearing ruby slippers). it was exhausting, but i think a really successful event. photos will be up maybe next week some time.
